Heat Treating Services
At Nelson Heat Treating Co., Inc., we have been providing premium quality heat treating services with quick turnaround for over 65 years. We are ISO 9001:2015 certified and serve a wide array of customers including those in the automotive, defense, firearm, and consumer goods industries. Our heat treating capabilities include case hardening, carbon restoration, annealing, carbonitriding, and stress relieving, among others. Atmospheric heat treating and oil quenching methods are used to provide a consistent, high quality metal part that meets all applicable quality standards. Our expertise encompasses a wide range of metals from tool steel and stainless steel alloys to red metals such as copper and brass.
We can accommodate an array of part types in sizes up to 30″ in length by 24″ in width. Micro-hardness testing equipment can be used to verify the conformance of the heat treating process to customer specifications. Available value added services include sand blasting, cleaning, and plating. By taking advantage of these services, customers can reduce the number of vendors required to complete a part, reducing lead time and overall production costs. Technical support is also available for customers who are developing new parts or who have had previous issues with their heat treating specifications.
For rush orders, most jobs could be turned around in as little as 24 hours. Standard lead times average one to seven days, depending on the project and customer needs. We accept any range of part volume from prototypes to high volume production, and offer pickup and delivery services to customers who are located within the tri-state area.
